This week on Word-filled Wednesdays, I want to share with you a Bible verse that has been part of my life since I was a student in UP Manila. It was the anchor verse of one of our campus ministry events and I’ve since adopted it as one of my life verses.
(One other set of verses that I’ve adopted — well, our whole family, actually — is Matthew 6: 31-33, the inspiration and guiding verse behind this blog.
)
This is the verse I cling on to whenever I feel that there’s just too much going on in my life; when I’m weak — physically, emotionally, spiritually; when I think, “I can’t take this anymore! It’s too much!”
Basically, I declare this verse when I need strength. In all aspects of my life.
Needless to say, I’ve been declaring this verse for the past weeks. You guys probably know why, right?
When I shared this verse with one of my mom blogger friends, Ditas, on Twitter, she told me that it was very helpful to her, and she even shared it on her Facebook page. I was totally encouraged and humbled when she did so, and again thanked God for the chance to share His words with other people.
I don’t know what you’re going through right now, but I just felt God’s urging to share Philippians 4: 13 with you, too. I pray that it will become a source of encouragement, strength and inspiration to you somehow, sometime.
When we are hopeless, He is our Hope.
When we are discouraged, He is our Encouragement.
When we are broken, He is our Wholeness.
When we are weak, He is our Strength.
Philippians 4: 13 — Declare it and share it! ;)
P.S. If you catch me ranting and whining on Facebook and/or Twitter about how tired/busy, etc. I am, please do remind me about this verse, OK?
Thanks, friends!

Thank you for dedicating this blog post to me and to everyone else needing strength. (Don’t we all?!) This verse gives me so much hope. I still have two exams left until next week and I’m am very tired. But, I am not losing hope because I know that God is my strength. I made that image using my phone because I wanted to share it with all the people following me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I am glad that with your blog post it will reach a lot more. Thanks again for all the encouragement, Tina. I am so glad to have met you.
Hello Ditas dear!
You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
Both of us are very tired now — for different reasons.
But I know that God is OUR strength! Thank you for making that image — how did you do it? Teach me naman! haha!
Anyway, thanks again ha!
God bless always, dear! I’m just a Tweet away, OK?
