Pérdida de la oportunidad para una educación más avanzada, baja calidad u opciones limitadas de escolaridad; interrupción del programa actual; requisitos para recibir una educación en otro idioma o cultura con pérdida de tiempo y grado; disponibilidad de requisitos especiales, como son programas de entrenamiento o intercambio de internados en campos especializados.

Consideraciones Personales

Familiares cercanos en los Estados Unidos y/o su país; separación de la esposa/hijos; edades de los hijos de las partes interesadas; tiempo radicando dentro de Estados Unidos y los lazos existentes dentro de una comunidad.

Factores Especiales u Otros

Culturales, de lenguaje, religiosos y obstáculos étnicos, temor a persecuciones justificables, daño físico o accidental; ostracismo o estigma social; acceso a instituciones sociales o estructurales; o cualquier otra situación que usted considere que le puede ayudar a cumplir con las especificaciones de los severos problemas o dificultades extremas.

Es importante que explique con detalle cual sería, en su caso muy particular, el problema o dificultad extrema aplicable a su situación sin cansar al adjudicador con argumentos débiles.

Recuerde que los problemas severos o las dificultades extremas deberán ser para el miembro de familia que califica como tal, no para usted.

Cuando como ciudadano solicitas el perdón para tu cónyuge, para tu hijo menor de 21 años o para tus padres siendo mayor de 21 años por sufrimiento severo te recomiendo reunir las siguientes evidencias:

Emocionalmente: debes contarle al Oficial, como afecta para tu vida estar lejos de tu familiar, si tienes el concepto de un psicólogo, esto ayudará a que la prueba sea más fehaciente.
Salud: ¿sufres de alguna enfermedad que te limita y por consiguiente necesitas la ayuda de tu familiar? si tienes tu historia médica, la puedes adjuntar dentro de las evidencias.
Consideraciones personales: Si tu familiar es de un país diferente al tuyo o son del mismo país de origen y regresar, sería culturalmente una dificultad para ti, evidencia los años que llevas viviendo en los Estados Unidos, tus propiedades, tu trabajo, cuéntales que tú ya tienes una vida realizada aquí y que eso afectaría sustancialmente tu vida en general.
Factores especiales: Evidencia como afectaría tu relación de pareja, la relación con tus hijos , las relaciones familiares al tener lejos a esa persona tan importante, si el país de origen es inseguro, reúne recortes de periódico que evidencien esa situación.
Económicamente: Cuéntales cómo afectaría tu vida financiera, tener que contratar a alguien que lleve a tus hijos al colegio, no tener la ayuda económica de tu pareja para ajustar las cuentas, o el hecho de responder por esa persona fuera del país etc.
Educación: Si entre tus planes estaba estudiar y no pudiste continuar por la parte económica, o porque ya no tienes tiempo, al tener que suplantar las responsabilidades de tu familiar.

Cada una de estas evidencias podrá fortalecer el proceso y posiblemente conseguir la aprobación del perdón.
